To understand

Behold, these are the wicked; and always at ease, they have increased in wealth. Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and washed my hands in innocence; for I have been stricken all day long and chastened every morning. If I had said “I will speak thus,” behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children. When I pondered to understand this, it was troublesome in my sight until I came into the sanctuary of God; then I perceived their end. (Psalm 73:12-17).

Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all things (Proverbs 28:5).

We are living in a world that is changing in many ways. The things that were impossible yesterday, is possible today. The things that were considered a shame yesterday, are accepted as the right thing today. Besides seeing all the ungodliness getting more room, God’s people will also experience that they are not spared from meeting difficulties and problems as the time changes.

Therefore it’s important to have absolute and eternal truths as rules of living. At the end of the day, it is only God and his word that we can build our lives on.

Gud is not like humans.

God hates sin, but he love humans so much that he gave his begotten Son for our sins. God want us humans to seek him with all our hearts. If we are halfhearted He cannot be found.

But if we seek him with all our heart He will be found. Then He listens to us and answers us according to his word.

God cannot:

  • Do anything against His nature (Exodus 14:6)

  • Deny himself (2 Timothy 2:13)

  • Swear on something greater than Himself (Hebrews 6:13)

  • Do anything that is not according to His word (Isaiah 55:10-11)

  • Lie. He does nothing wrong (Deuteronomy 23:19)

  • Change anything off His word. He cannot break His word (Isaiah 40:8)

  • Break His covenant (Psalm 105:8)

  • Not keep His promises (2 Corinthians 1:20)

  • Ignore the cries of His people (Nehemiah 9:9-13

  • Let sin be unpunished (Isaiah 1:18)

  • Show mercy where there is no repentance (Isaiah 26:8-10)

Asaf, whom has written 73 Psalms, became frustrated because he was going through struggles while the ungodly were safe and growing in power.

It was when Asaf did search God that he first understand how it went with the ungodly.

Do like Asaf!

Do not let the things the ungodly do, make you to suffer or hinder you to enter Gods glory.

Cleanse your heart from all doubt and unbelief and let God talk to your heart. Then you will receive knowledge and revelations, and you will understand that God is an almighty God, that does not let the ones who seek him be put to shame. Then you will know that I am the LORD; those who wait for me shall not be put to shame (Isaiah 49:23b).
